Old people try to commit suicide; are too old to do it right

At the ripe old ages of 83 and 80, Gilbert and Doris Brown had been married for 58 years, so when Gilbert saw his wife's health deteriorating and the quality of care she was receiving at the nursing home dropping, he decided that they should do something about it together.

That something involved checking his wife out of the nursing home and driving to a secluded place, where the couple swallowed a cocktail of over 47 sleeping pills and pain killers and hooked the exhaust pipe of their vehicle to a crack in the window.

But hours later, Gilbert awoke to find that the incompetence of old age had rendered his adorable attempt at a suicide pact useless, and the couple drove back to town in quiet shame.
