Used human body-parts chop-shop gets shut down

Biomedical Tissue Services was set up by a New York dentist who used the company to sell human body parts and tissue for use in surgical procedures. BTS was quite successful, making over $5 million in their first four years of business.

The only problem was that none of the people Michael Mastromarino and his team of "cutters" mutilated had given their consent to be chopped into pieces and sold for profit.

Funeral directors were paid up to $1000 to allow Mastromarino's teams to enter their facilities and tear apart up to seven corpses a day. The "cutters" took everything, removing bones and internal organs before stripping off muscle tissue and skin. Heart valves were sliced out, tendons were yanked from the bones and entire limbs were hacked from the bodies and packaged up to be sold.
