Boyfriend beat his girlfriend with an electric cable for two weeks, but it was probably her fault

22-year-old Denetria begged Jason Page to hit her anywhere other than her back after he whipped her with an extension cord so severely that her skin was later described as nothing but "open flesh", but authorities have yet to determine what exactly she did wrong.

Page, who the victim's parents meant to call "stern and fair" when they described him as "controlling and abusive", certainly wouldn't have duct-taped Denetria to a crib and tortured her for two weeks in the house where they lived with their two children for no reason. She must have done something to deserve her back being sliced open with the electric cable - or to warrant being slowly burned with a lighter.

Oh, don't even get us started on how she ran out of the house when Page finally stopped beating her and fell asleep, tired from all the guidance and discipline he was providing. She didn't even tell him where she was going when she left. If anything says "out-of-line", it's that kind of rude behavior.

While investigators are still looking for a smoking gun, Denetria has already offered to take the blame, claiming that it is all her own idiotic fault for being with such a monster - a monster guilty of caring too much, if anything.
